A FEW DEGREES COOLER
At Team Carolina Lacrosse Camp, our goal is to stimulate a love for the game by immersing you in the sport and giving you the kind of focused, intensive training essential for your improvement. Over the course of the camp, your enthusiasm and self-confidence will grow along with your skills.
We cannot emphasize enough the best lacrosse camps are not about the “star power” of the staff, the gear, the location or the activities. The best camps are about teaching the game and effectively managing the overall quality of the experience.
In most sports, the best players do not necessarily make the best teachers and coaches. Lacrosse is no different. Many of the more talented players have only half of an idea how they are able to do what they do and even less of an idea how to communicate it to others. Conversely, most of the sport’s greatest teachers and coaches were average players, who developed a greater understanding of the game in their search for ways to “outsmart” the better players.
- Improve your overall game
- Gain self-confidence through lacrosse success
- Create lasting friendships
- Experience camp life
- Have fun!
Open to rising first- through eighth-grade boys. Suitable for the beginner and the intermediate lacrosse players.

MEET THE DIRECTOR - JAMIE SCHMIDT
While growing up in Syracuse, New York in the 80's and 90's, I fell in love with the sport. I played lacrosse in and around Syracuse, and I ended my college playing career at the State Universtiy of New York at Potsdam in 1997.
I have been teaching lower school at Providence Day School since 2000. I have directed Cool Kids Lacrosse since 2002 and have served as director for Team Carolina Lacrosse since 2004. I've coached at every level, but my passion is with the beginner.
I enjoy watching the spark and ignition of the life long love of the game of lacrosse!
